Well, Best Buy had some pretty cool deals on Black Friday. Of note, they had an HP notebook for under $400 and a Toshiba notebook for about $250! Yes, they were of modest specifications, but for the price? I wanted to get them and some of their other deals (100 DVD-R for $5!), so I decided to do the camping in line adventure. I had some friends who were planning on getting there early in the morning (BB opened at 0500), but I would camp out the night before to be assured a chance at the limited quantity deals.
I dressed up warmly (it was in the 30′s), took my sleeping bag, a folding chair, and some snacks, and set out at about 2130 (9:30pm). I had visions of being in the first half-dozen people in line!
When I arrived, my hopes were dashed. I wasn’t even going to be in the first 50 people in line! This is the scene I was greeted with:
I am such a Black Friday Noob!
(BTW: That’s my friend Chuck in the orange jacket. #33 in line. He got the last two laptops.)
